چکیده

Food contamination with extended-spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL)-producing bacteria is recognized as one of the public health concerns worldwide. Although fish and fishery products at retail in Japan have relied on imported materials, no apparent evidences exist prevalence property genetic transfer ESBL-producing those food specimens. This study aimed to investigate plasmid-mediated antibiotic-resistant products. Fifteen retailed Japan, from Southeast South Asia during January March 2020, were examined detect AmpC/ESBL-producing Escherichia coli, or Vibrio spp. through culture buffered peptone water (BPW) alkaline (APW), followed by selective enrichment CHROMagar ECC containing cefotaxime/meropenem. A total 172 strains finally isolated 15 samples. 16S rRNA sequencing gene revealed predominant distribution Stenotrophomonas maltophilia E. coli ECC, Enterococcus Vibrio, respectively. Amongst, Klebsiella pneumoniae, V. vulnificus, parahaemolyticus ESBL-producers harboured CTX-M-15, 55, 27. Aeromonas caviae AmpC β-lactamase-producers CMY-8 CMY-2, One Enterobacter cloacae complex shrimp sample was resistant meropenem NDM-1. assay that all ESBLs, except carbapenemase-producing spp., transferred CTX-M NDM-1 ATCC25922 BL21. Overall, our data indicated frequent materials AmpC/ESBL bacteria, possible transferability genes intestinal humans.

Plasmid Mediated Antibiotic Resistance in Isolated Bacteria From Burned Patients

BACKGROUND Nowadays, the treatment of burned patients is difficult because of the high frequency of infection with antibiotic resistance bacteria. OBJECTIVES This study was conducted to evaluate the level of antibiotic resistance in Gram-negative bacteria and its relation with the existence of plasmid. MATERIALS AND METHODS The samples were collected from two hundred twenty hospitalized bur...

Coexistence of antibiotic-producing and antibiotic-sensitive bacteria in biofilms is mediated by resistant bacteria.

Antibiotic-sensitive bacteria have been found to coexist with antibiotic-producing bacteria in biofilms, but little is known about how the former develop in such an environment. Here we isolated pyocyanin-sensitive bacteria belonging to the genus Brevibacillus from a biofilm derived from soil extract and based on the preestablished biofilm of a pyocyanin producer, Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain ...

Plasmid mediated antibiotic resistance

Enterobacteriaceae is a family of bacteria including Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae that are common colonizers of the gastrointestinal tract. Extended spectrum βlactamases (ESBL) are bacterial enzymes that degrade β-lactam antibiotics and thus make the bacteria resistant to β-lactam antibiotics. ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae (EPE) is an increasing problem constituting a burden o...

SCREENING FOR ANTIBIOTIC RESISTANT BACTERIA IN URINE SAMPLES

Chronic urinary tract infections are often caused by antibiotic resistant bacteria. In some of these cases, prediction of the most effective antibiotic (s) may urgently be needed. This can not be achieved unless the nature and patterns of the resistance to antibiotics among the pathogenic bacteria has been described earlier. The urine samples that reached the laboratory of Shaheed Mustafa K...
